Click the + Add Template button in order to add a new template.

You'll first be brought to the page where you'll be selecting your listing layout.

From this page choose one from the options below:

Click each template layout to expand the view.

Choose the the layout that you'd like for your template and your listings and click the Next button.

NOTE: A similar preview of the Custom template will show up on this page after it has been uploaded

You'll now Configure Template Settings
Rules and settings defined within the template will override your default eBay account settings.

Lets go through each option individually:

Name: Give your template a name

Same as my eBay account settings:
​This option is important.
Deciding to uncheck this option will allow complete customization of the template and the options within it.
Checking this option will mean that you'd like your template to use the below listed settings from your default eBay account settings, which are:

Handling time (in days): The handling time is the number of business days you'll take to ship the item after receiving your cleared payment.
Assign a different number of days
Or you can leave it default.

Listing Format: Choose your items using this template to be Fixed Price or Auction-style.
Or you can leave it default.

Listing Duration: Depending on the listing format you choose above, a Fixed Price listing format will, by default be "Good 'Til Cancelled" [eBay mandate]. An Auction-Style listing will allow you to choose the number of days you'd like the listing to remain Active. Or you can leave it default.

Maximum Quantity to List: Use this option to limit the quantity to be listed for an item. New sellers on eBay can effectively use this option to avoid exceeding their selling limits.
Set a new value OR leave it default.

Default Title: For items using this template, a text or phrase that you'd like to add along with their individual listing title(s) OR you can leave it blank.

Default Title Replacement: Along with the individual (independent) item title, if you have a group of items, which will be using this template, additional title content entered (above) can be:

Default Description: For items using this template, a text or phrase or content that you'd like to add along with their individual listing description OR you can leave it blank.

Default Description Replacement: Along with the individual (independent) item description, if you have a group of items, which will be using this template, additional description entered (above) can be:

Default Features: For items using this template, a text or phrase or content that you'd like to add along with their individual listing features OR you can leave it blank.

Default Features Replacement: Along with the individual (independent) item features, if you have a group of items, which will be using this template, additional features entered (above) can be:

Default Details: For items using this template, a text or phrase or content that you'd like to add along with their individual listing details OR you can leave it blank.

Default Details Raplacement: Along with the individual (independent) item features, if you have a group of items, which will be using this template, additional features entered (above) can be:

Default Category: If you have a group of items using this template that will fall under the same category, you can choose the category here, leave it blank or remove it.

Business Policies:
Choose whether to Use eBay business policies for your listings.

You can choose between anyone of the following:

Choose to Use International Rate Table for your listings
[NOTE: This rate table has to be setup on eBay first]

Exclude 'Ship-to" locations: This link will route you to your eBay account page where you'll be able to choose the states, territories, countries, or regions you don't want to ship to. You can also exclude entire continents or select Show all countries, and then select the specific countries you want to exclude.

Return Item Within: For items sold on eBay, buyers are secured by eBay's standardized return policies. You can choose from:

Refund Policy: Offer refund options from one of the following below:

Return Shipping Paid By: Choose one of the options in order to decide who will be paying for the return shipping:

Best Offers: Enable or Disable Best offers in addition to settings rules to accept and/ or decline offers for items that will be using this template.

Default Store Category: Assign a default store category for items that will be using this template.

Item Remarks - (#Condition#): Have custom remarks for your items based on their conditions. This is helpful to give buyers more information about the items you have for sale within your eBay store.

Marketing Message #: Edit Marketing messages that will be specific to this particular template.

Thank You Message: Add a short message that you'd like to display to your buyers for making the purchase.

Once done customizing your template, click on the save button.

NOTE:
If you have items that are already listed and using the template, You'll also have to apply these changes to them.
