Error:
Item is restricted. 'Item name XXXXXXXXX' has been known to cause copyright infringement complaint: Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item.
Reason:
Item(s) that you're trying to add is Copyrighted.
Resolution:
All online marketplaces respect the intellectual property (IP) of individuals and the items they have for sale online.
It is very difficult to warn online sellers ahead of time, as it is not possible to be 100% certain about which items are a part of the VeRO program.
How has SellerChamp been able to resolve this issue?
Anytime an item is been known to cause a copyright complain, on any online marketplace, SellerChamp will immediately store the details within our database.
This way, if you or anyone using SellerChamp, adds the item to a manifest in the future, SellerChamp will produce this error message.
NOTE: There is a possibility that the UPC has been recycled (which does happen more frequently than you can imagine) and the warning describes an item that isn't the item that you've entered.
In that case, follow the below mentioned steps:
Step 1: Directly across the item, click the options button and from the drop down menu select the Mark as Valid option
If you have more than 1 item within the manifest, with the same issue, follow these steps below:
Step 1: Select the item(s) by clicking the check box beside them
Step 2: Click on the More Actions button and from the drop down menu options select the Mark as Valid option
You can then resubmit the manifest and see if it goes through.
If the error message is displayed again, that means that particular item is gated or restricted to a certain sellers.
Otherwise it should be able to successfully add your item and submit it to the marketplace.
